The film is about a novelist who’s fed up with the establishment profiting from “Black” entertainment who uses a pen name to write a book that propels him to the heart of hypocrisy and the madness he claims to disdain. In attendance was Urbanworld’s Head Film Curator, Tambay Obenson and Festival Director Karen McMullen who presented the Visionary Award to director Cord Jefferson.

The heartwarming standing ovation from the audience reflected the collective appreciation for Cord Jefferson’s work and creative vision. The night continued with a powerful Q&A session moderated by acclaimed filmmaker Malcolm D. Lee (known for ‘The Best Man’) provided a unique opportunity for a deeper exploration of the film’s themes, creating an enriching experience for both the filmmakers and the audience.
