A new butcher shop specializing in farm-to-table food just opened in Queens, New York.

The owner of Prince Abou’s Butchery is Abou Sow. Abou obtained his first job in a butcher shop in Queens at the age of 13. From this time, Abou obtained as much knowledge about the meat business as possible, discovering how to store the meat, how to prepare it, providing the highest quality and sourcing the best animals from. In 2018, Abou began branching off on his own, eventually launching Prince Abou’s Butchery in 2020.  

Starting his business online first, he started offering regular and luxury items for sale, from pasture-raised Thanksgiving turkeys to Peking duck, tomahawk steaks, and more. As this customer base amplified so did Abou’s business structure, the entrepreneur incorporated various items to his menu, creating new partnerships with chefs to curate new recipes and additional sample opportunities.

After opening his first storefront butcher shop in Queens, specializing in halal and pasture-raised farm-to-table food. At this signature butcher shop, you can also pick up a variety of locally sourced items including: vegetables, sauces, seasonings, and beans.

Abou is continuing to partner with a variety of local farms and organizations, with determination to support local farmers.
